To
make your stay a great experience.
Letters: To:Fridrik -and with apologies to his family for stealing
him away from his duties to take care of us. Many, many thanks for making Iceland a lovely and awesome country!!! Charlie
and Anne Wood, USA.
Your prompt service saved both time and money, thank you! S.D Vaduz, Liechtenstein.
Thank you for all the extra stops during our Iceland voyage. We especially liked the attention that you showed us
at the Mývatn bird-lake in North Iceland. You live in Iceland and can enjoy Iceland always, but we come only once in
a lifetime, and we were so happy that you understood and appreciated that fact!! Britta and Karl Nilsson, Sweden.
PLEASE CHECK THE OTHER FOUR PAGES....!!

Relax
- explore - contemplate
A happy group at the Skógar museum.
The Skógar folk museum is on Highway one - the ring
road, about two hours drive East from Reykjavík. At Skógar there is a summer hotel, one year round hotel, a youth hostel and
a camping facility. The magnificent Skógafoss waterfall is nearby and the possibility to go snowmobiling on the Mýrdalsjökull
glacier.
Many people hike from Skógar over the mountain heading North towards the Thórsmork glacial park. It is an
awesome hike and fairly easy to accomplish during the course of one day in good weather. Highway one is paved and well
maintained.

Crossing
unbridged rivers can be fun and adventurous but when you drive in Iceland you should check inland road conditions. You can
get help with this at the local tourist information and car rental offices.
If you have a jeep and come to a river
or a stream like the one above, WAIT for someone else to come and accompany you over. During the summer season the wait is
usually short and people will be happy to have company and are willing to help out if you are in trouble.
NEVER DRIVE
outside of the marked roads. Respect nature and remember never to collect flowers or rocks within the nature reserve areas.
The availability of flowers is limited and nature is fragile..

Total relaxation and total cultural experience: The Canarias. In Tenerife and the canarias in general there are many great places to stay and seek information and to name
a few please check in to: www.parquelasflores.com www.turismodecanarias.com www.losrealejos.es www.siampark.net www.loroparque.com www.ranchotexaslanzarote.com www.nowinterblues.com Tenerife is in my view a continent on its own and you can spend ages exploring the island and the other
islands using Tenerife as a base. You can easily rent a car from the various car rentals available drive around the island
in one full day and explore many sights on the way. If you reside in the south of Tenerife you can go to the west and either
up over the winding roads or take the lower one to Icod de los Vinos, Los Realejos , Puerto de la Cruz, Tacoronte, La Laguna,
Santa Cruz and take the motorway back to the south. Please do not be afraid to explore the small communities on the way. Stop
and visit the local squares and sit on a bench and savour the local atmosphere. Please note that many mountain roads are winding
and there might be delays if you happen to drive behind freight trucks hauling tomatoes and bananas. From Los Christianos you have the ferry to La Gomera. There are excellent air connections between all the islands
and ferries as well in some places. Explore Lobos an island between Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Explore the wonderful island
of Graciosa with the boat from Orzola in Lanzarote. Hierro is also a great place, go and visit the small village of Sabinosa
in the north of the island or just spend some time in Valverde. La Palma is one of
the musts if you have some extra days. The well known astronomy institute on the top and the hills and forests down below
provide excellent hiking. Gran Canaria has many good things to offer as well.
